I know this picture is absolutely horrible, but I had to post it just to illustrate the story. I saw this guy a few hours ago jogging down Lafayette at Astor Place. Keep in mind that it's 95 degrees in NYC today. He was wearing a black hoodie, red boxing gloves, and a GAS MASK. I scrambled from my camera pohone and this is all I came up with. But I'm telling you, he was wearing a full face gas mask!

I have to confess, I have a ray gun obsession. This is a replica of the ray gun used in Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, made by the guy who created the prop for the movie. It cost far too much, but it makes me deleriously happy.
